GREEN MOUNTAIN DERBY DAMES v ITHACA & GMDD v PROVIDENCE KILLAH BEES – GMDD presents a double-header on Saturday at the Champlain Valley Expo, where they will roll out their newest team, the Black Ice Brawlers. The Brawlers will be matched up against the Ithaca Bluestockings at 3:30, followed by the Dames’ Grade A Fancy bout against Providence’s Killah Bees. Music, raffles, food and drinks will be available. Part of the proceeds from this bout will benefit the Lund Family Center.

NH ROLLER DERBY v PIONEER VALLEY – New Hampshire Roller Derby will be presenting their second home bout of the season at the JFK Coliseum in Manchester this Saturday. NHRD’s all-star team, Skate Free or Die will be pitted against Pioneer Valley’s Western Mass Destruction in what is sure to be a challenging match-up for both of these seasoned teams. Raffles will benefit the Animal Rescue Leagueand fans who bring a food donation for the NH Food Bank will receive $1 off their ticket price.

New England Derby Weekend Preview

HOME BOUTS:

BOSTON DERBY DAMES v OLY ROLLERS – Dames fans have been holding their breath for the highly anticipated bout between the Massacre and last season’s WFTDA National champs, the Oly Rollers’ Cosa Nostra Donnas, this Saturday.
The pantsless militia is coming off their first loss of the season to the Philly Roller Girls on April 17, but have had nearly a month to recharge for a match-up against the undefeated ladies from Washington. Boston’s roster is looking sharp, with some new faces that have been consistently delivering hard hits and strong blocking straight out of the gate. Can BDD take Oly’s travel team down a peg? Or will Washington move another win closer to Gotham’s record of 18 straight wins?
Prior to the Massacre’s turn on the track, the Wicked Pissahs will be looking to continue their winning streak as they challenge the Cosmonaughties for the second time. Cosmo newcomer and MVP Lady Shatterly will likely be a formidable opponent for the Pissahs as her lightning-fast speed helped bring her team their first win of the season last month against the Nuts.
